Promethea

Promethea

A queer couple who have been deeply in love for years decide to go travelling. Will they choose Greece as their destination? And can their relationship survive the planning stage?

An absurdist work by Julia Smith, Promethea is an exploration of hope, faith, and humanity. The tragi-comedy play engages with the Promethean cycle, the Greek poets including Aeschylus, Plato, Apollonius (obviously of Rhodes), and Romantic authors such as Mary Shelly, the other Shelly, and Lord Byron.
