Live Poetry Launch

Kevin P. Gilday launches his new collection Anxiety Music from Verve Poetry Press. Kevin is an award-winning poet, writer and performer from Glasgow. He is the founder of poetry collective The Scribbler’s Union and was co-founder of spoken word cabaret night Sonnet Youth. He is a National Theatre of Scotland Breakthrough Writer, a BBC Writersroom Scottish Voice and one of Scotland’s most celebrated contemporary poets. "An accomplished purveyor of saline wit. Anxiety Music holds a mirror to the cult of individualism, surveying the wreckage with glimmers of hope and hard truths." - Victoria McNulty
Cecilia Knapp presents her debut collection Peach Pig - a candid and unflinching look at loss, an attempt to find a language for it. It grapples with feelings of anxiety, insecurity and displaced anger; but it is also a collection full of dreams, hope and vibrant persistence, a willingness to question and to carry on. "Cecelia Knapp is a great writer. I love her." - Kae Tempest
Mark Coverdale screens his & Iain Douglas’s latest poetic machinima Shanks’s 54 with a live performance. All tickets include an illustrated copy of the micro-poem series.
Copies of all publications will be available on the night.
See you in the heart of Camden Town for a night of astonishing new poetry.
