Kafka v Kafka

Kafka v Kafka

Intake Group and Glimpse Theatre Company present a co-production of, Kafka v Kafka by Howard Colyer.

Adapted from Franz Kafka’s autobiographical work, A Letter To My Father, Kafka v Kafka portrays Kafka’s indictment of his upbringing at the hands of a tyrannical merchant father. This deeply personal account has been lovingly dramatized for the stage by Colyer. It brings to life a family encounter that was never allowed to occur during Kafka’s lifetime, shedding light on the tumultuous dynamic shared by both men and the relationship that ultimately defined the writer’s life.

Kafka v Kafka is directed by Jim O’Donnell, Artistic Director of Glimpse Theatre Company and premiers an original score composed by musician Hugh Gavin.

Featuring Adam Henderson-Scott as Franz Kafka, this passionately intense family drama will transport you to turn of the century Prague to witness first hand the complex relationship that shaped the mind of one of the twentieth century’s greatest writers.

Please note: Sunday’s peformances will start at 6.30pm and there is NO performance on Mondays.
