MIRRoRBALL

MIRRoRBALL

a play written by Anthony Bull

Directed by Yasmeen Arden

“You’re my mirrorball…a cheap bit of disco tat, but pure magic when it lights up”

London 1982, in a bijou Earls Court bedsit Terry is desperately trying to cling on to the fragments of his once glittering existence.

Mirrorball is set in London in 1982 against a backdrop of Thatcherism and New Romantics, before the onset of the Falklands War and discovery of HIV/AIDS. This highly topical play centres on the relationship between friends navigating a changing world.

Anthony Bull’s black comedy Mirrorball previews at Etcetera Theatre before being staged at Latitude Festival 2013.

Anthony Bull’s strong, unflinching and darkly funny voice marks him out as a fast-rising star in new writing.
