The Random Acts of Strangers

The Random Acts of Strangers

The Random Acts of Strangers

Edgy, destructive, disillusioned and sometimes very funny,  these are the random acts of strangers.

Have you ever stood on a train platform, seen the people on the opposite side and thought ‘I wonder what their stories are’?

Have you ever overheard snippets of conversations on buses and wanted to know more?

Have you ever had a virtual stranger tell you an extraordinary story?

The series of monologues in ‘The Random Acts of Strangers’ were conceived from such experiences. They look at the complexities of modern urban life and the moral dilemmas that this way of living often engenders.

Like Anthony Gormley’s  Event Horizon in 2007, theses are a series of isolated figures, trapped in an urban landscape, that can only be seen from one perspective.

There may be hope in the shape of the little old lady, the keeper of these stories, who herself has a story to tell.

These monologues deal with adult themes, sometimes dark and sometimes darkly funny but always thought provoking and provocative.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SUNDAY SHOW WILL START AT 6.00PM
